To be honest I really don't care anymore. If it comes out it comes out. I'll remember though. Oh yes... |

I have some bad news. http://www.amazon.com/Left4Dead-2-Pc/dp/B002BRYXRQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1244056053&sr=8-1 Deep down I was hoping maybe it would be an expansion of some kind, or significantly cheaper than L4D. My hopes have been dashed. |

Weeeellll keep in mind amazon.com has a policy of lowering the amount after the fact and reimbursing you if the price they put up ends up being different than the price released. I've seen a handful of games they have put up for 60$ that ended up being 50 at release day. There still is SOME hope, but is SMALL. Also there is still the hope that Valve could run some special deal for people who already own L4D 1 and purchase L4D2 over steam... Edited by Eternal, Jun 3 2009, 04:59 PM.

Well, L4D was great until you played all the maps two or three times. Then it ran out of interest. I'm willing to bet the second one will be the same way. If it's on sale for $10 some weekend, I'll probably pick it up though. It was a fun game for a bit. I could get $10 of joy out of some new maps. |

Well the most enjoyable part of L4D was definately VS mode, but the matchmaking system BLEW. I often would find myself in games with like 150-300ping. And when you are spoiled by sub-20pings playing TF2 you just don't wanna play with 150ping. Basically unless the people are really cool/fun I wont play an FPS with more than like 100ping if I can avoid it. There is supposedly one or two FULL campaigns you can download that are fan made. I've never looked into it but I read they are very pretty. I dunno how well they play though. Overall L4D is fun and I don't entirely regret purchasing it (50$ was a bit steep for how much I've played it) but TF2 is epic win. |
