I wish man. I wish. If it is a joke then VALVe trolled us good, if not its the samething.

Not even a year goes by, and a new one is coming out. Not only that but they charged us 50v bucks for the first, an incomplete product, and now they're coming out with a "sequal" which in all honestly is just one big expansion pack.

Like I said, is this fucking EA now?

im still not sure what to think of this...only time will tell if its worth my money. L4D as it is isnt perfect, its very polished from a gameplay and graphics standpoint but my biggest gripe with it is the amount of rage that goes on in VS, its gotten to the point to where its hardly worth playing, and i hate saying that, but its the truth. also the AI director in L4D isnt all it was cracked up to be, zombies spawning in different places in different numbers hardly changes the way a game plays out, unless your playing an expert campaign. so im going to reserve my judgement on this untill we have ALL of the details on what they are doing with this title, i mean god knows i certainly got my moneys worth out of L4D, if they can vastly improve on it, well, everybodys got to get paid u know.

(lol at the tank in overalls)

I know huh? I wasn't sure if he was a tank or some kind of new middle sized character...didn't seem as beefy as the old tank. And don't make any comments about how I said beefy... :O

Ugh, screw that. I only played L4D for a few weeks after it came out, hell if I'm going to fork out another fifty bucks for the same experience. If this were an expansion of some kind, a bunch of new content injected into L4D, it might make me play it again. But if they expect us to pay for essentially the same thing AGAIN, fuck that.

"Set for release on November 17, the title adds melee combat to enable deeper co-operative gameplay, with items such as a chainsaw, frying pan, axe, baseball bat, and more."
lol about time thats gonna be Lol 4 Dead, but seriously if we have to pay the same price as the original then i find it kind of meh.

I'll be honest... I'm a Valve whore. Another $50 or not, at some point I'll end up telling Steam to send that shit to my computer.

If its like 20$ I'll buy it otherwise I'm passing on it until it hits some crazy 50% off (or more) weekend deal. I shelled out for L4D1 ON RELEASE DAY which is something I NEVER do since I"m super frugal usually, but I wanted to support valves new IP. I don't feel they owe me free updates by any means, its nice that they do that but I don't feel that they have to give it to me. However I did buy L4D under the assumption that it would be a long lasting purchase and that it would be supported by relatively consistant new content and the SDK is only just now hitting and there is going to be little to no community support for it since most of the people who would be working on maps and such would rather wait and make them for L4D2 with its Director 2.0 ability to change the map in some ways.

They can continue to support L4D1 as they claimed they will do in the interview about L4D2 but they are effectively killing the community by creating something that is supposed to be "better in every way" AND by spliting the community into L4D1 and L4D2.

wow.... ... VALVE used to be cool.

L4D is so boring. It wasn't worth the 50 bucks i spent on it the first time. Now they made a sequel a year later instead of improving shitty half finished content? I'm sorry but the guns and the maps and the entire game really disappointed me when it's compared to every other valve game in the past.

I was wondering why they were waiting so long to produce new maps and guns, now i know. They just want more money off of us. sorry valve ... I'd rather buy a bag of weed.

Fucking sequel.... ridiculous

The major point is, we (meaning those that bought the game, mostly preordered it) didn't get what was promised.

L4D 2.0 is what we were promised, and now they're making us pay for it if we want the full product we were suppose to get at first. This is the first time I lost respect for VALVe, and thats a damn shame too.

After finding out that an old friend of mine is working on left4dead and l4d2 I'm torn between my scottish urge to pinch every penny and my loyalty to friends... I told him I'd buy it but that I'm holding him personally responsible for the quality in EVERY aspect. I don't care if he is a senior programmer he better make sure the voice acting and music is good too cause thats on HIS HEAD!

Either way I'll probably wait for a price drop if its more than 40$ on release day.
